Sometimes our own brains can feel like our worst enemies! Life can be tough by itself, but add in a constant stream of negative news stories, whinging co-workers and a social media feed scattered with people who make you angry or bring you down and that’s just a big fat recipe for overwhelm and anxiety issues! The problem is that our brains are specially designed to pay MORE attention to the negative things than the positive. This skill was important to our survival as a species, but now we’re exposed to far more information than our ancestors were it’s a skill that needs squashing a bit.
The good news is that we can help our brains to dial it back a bit. We can do this by actively training ourselves to notice and focus on positive things and tune out some of the negative. This does take a bit of effort, but it is worth it when it helps relieve anxiety and increase happiness!
Positive living is a bit more than just positive thinking – it requires some actual ‘doing’ as well! I’ve created this awesome 7 day ‘Positive Living Challenge’ that you can do to kick-start retraining your brain. Just download the FREE e-book below!
